China Cracks Skype: Is Compatible Competition on the Way?

ACCORDING TO the VoIP Wiki Blog, a company in China has reverse-engineered the Skype protocol and can communicate on Skype’s peer-to-peer network. This might have some impact on any advertising models planned by Ebay on their Skype client, as more than likely, no-ad clients will appear in the not-too-distant future. In any case, it should be interesting to watch things develop.
