Design of the Times

As you can see, we’ve redesigned the site again – added some widgets, an extra column, new fonts and styles. There seem to be some slight issues with image placement, but we’ll work those kinks out as we go. Thanks to Rory and the team in Ireland for the face lift. I feel young and beautiful.

Redesigns always beg me to question: Is it good to change the look of your website, blog or email newsletter regularly? What about your subject lines or blog post concentrations? Do redesigns affect brand awareness or loyalty? Regarding change, how often is too often? Have our attitudes toward change, well, er changed over the years?

I think that I agree with you. Tags are great ways to link content; but perhaps it might actually be redundant in a practical sense on a blog when there’s already a search bar. I might say goodbye to the cloud and let some sunshine hit that space.

    Thanks

I like design, but I dislike the Tag Cloud. I find clouds unattractive, distracting and misleading. Maybe on a Search page, or Archives intro … but not up front.
