Email Subscription Forms: Offering Multiple Newsletters to Increase Relevance

They say that variety of the spice of life. The same could be true for email marketing. When registering with Poynter Online today, I signed up for several of their newsletters. That’s right, not one – not two – about 6. I wasn’t intending to, but the subscription form and titles of newsletters offered caught my attention. It’s easy to click on something when it’s right there in front of you. The screenshot below only accounts for about half of the email offers available on Poynter Online.

Have you ever considered providing a variety of email offers rather than one, all-encompassing publication? The more you can target your mailings, the more likely they will be relevant to your audience. The more relevant your message is to your audience, the more responsive your audience will be.
