Mark Brownlow pulled some articles from his blog’s archive today. In doing so, he makes a good point about the value of reusing content. Just because something was written last year – or even several years ago – doesn’t mean that it isn’t relevant anymore. Anyone who is tasked with publishing newsletters month after month understands how important it is to have enough content to include in them.
Don’t forget your archives! For many readers, your post from 2005 will be new to them – and useful. Even your long-time readers will benefit from revisiting previously published content from time to time.
A perfect example is an article that Mark included in his post today that was written in March, 2006. It is as relevant today as it was when he wrote it.
