What’s in a name?
Actually, quite a bit.
Scott Ginsberg (perhaps you know him as “hello my name is scott”) explains what your email address [or From field] tells recipients about your personality, creativity and professionalism. The content in your From field makes an impression before your message does. Scott provides good examples of bad email addresses for business communication.
What does your email address say about you or your company?

Your email address says a lot. I talk to many small business owners today and they ask me to email them some information and when I ask with the email address is they say something like “pookie524589@aol.com”. That to me is very unprofessional. For a very small fee they can get domain name email specific to their business.
That’s right SMWD. It doesn’t cost much to get yourself a website that comes with a number of email accounts. Ideally, you can get a site with a domain that accurately reflects your brand name. That’s where it helps to have a unique company name like Infacta.
I would say the safest way is to have your first name and last name or initial of your fist name attached to your last name or the other way around. Not unless you have a very funny sounding name of course.
