Mistakes are Meaningful

Do you get frustrated when you make a mistake? Well, you shouldn’t. Mistakes will happen, and often they are meaningful when they do. We can learn important lessons from our mistakes, and nobody is immune from making them. So rather than get frustrated, appreciate the lesson that is presented when mistakes occur.

When you’re trying to teach someone to do something, you might actually help them more if you make some of the same mistakes that they might make along the way.

For me, the most helpful part in the video below was learning why the mistake happened and how to avoid it (you can skip to 4:57 in the video, unless you are interested in learning how to change a door lock.)
