To configure GroupMail to send messages through Gmail’s SMTP server, follow these instructions:
1. Open GroupMail and click on “Tools”, “Account Manager” and click “New” to create a new sender account.
2. Complete the User Information on the Account Properties screen using your Gmail email address as the “From” address.

3. Click on the “Delivery Options” tab and enter smtp.gmail.com as the SMTP server and check the “Requires Authentication” box. Click Setup.

4. Check the “Use SMTP Authentication (outbound) box, keeping “AUTH Login (default)” and enter your full Gmail email address and password for that account. Click OK.

5. Click on the Advanced button at the bottom of the “Delivery Options” screen and change the SMTP Port from 25 to 587 and check the “Server Requires an SSL Connection” box (keeping the default STARTTLS setting). Click OK.

6. Test your settings by clicking the Test button at the bottom of the “Delivery Options” screen and “Test” again.

7. Close the Test screen and click OK on the Account Properties screen to save your settings.
If you have more than one Gmail account, you can create a new GroupMail Sender Account for each Gmail account that you have.

Hi, thanks for the info, works great sending less than 100 messages. Is there a way to send 4000 messages at a time using a gmail account or from a domain using gmail’s infrastructure? I currently have 10 accounts configured in groupmail and partialy send emails to a list of more than 4 thousand contacts. I’m getting tired of sending 100, then 100, then 100 more with each different account. Any ideas?
Hi Samir. No. Gmail has a limit of 100 messages for remote connections to their SMTP server. You could contact your ISP or web hosting company and see what their daily send limit is or take on a secondary SMTP server such as http://www.authsmtp.com and route your messages through their server.
Hi Samir. You can configure GroupMail to send through any SMTP server you have access to. Usually, domain-hosted servers are more liberal with their daily sending limitations than free email services (like Gmail) or ISPs are.
Alternatively, you could route your messages through a secondary SMTP server such as http://www.authsmtp.com. Of course, you will need to use either the GroupMail Personal or Business Edition, as the Free Edition limits you to 100 message at a time.

Dear,Sirs.
Good day to you all, i am interested in purchasing at least 2.000.000 2009 current e-mail address and smtp mass sender, please advise me on how to proceed.
Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Robert. We don’t sell or rent email lists. We only sell email marketing software.
Be careful pursuing a list of 1,000,000 addresses. The average cost for an email list from a reputable broker is $170/thousand emails (B2C) or $277/thousand emails (B2B). If someone offers you a list of one million address for $199, you can be pretty sure that there will be plenty of invalid addresses on that list and potentially some spam trap addresses.

Good luck.
Great! Thank you so much, it took me hours to figure this out!
