How to Schedule a Partial Send Email Campaign

I was asked today if GroupMail can schedule a partial send to a list each day. GroupMail Business Edition customers can use the Scheduler Add-on to do this. Here’s how to do it.

First, create your message and save it as a draft. Then, open Scheduler and click “Scheduler New Event”.

scheduler 1

Then, select the “Send an Email” option and click “Next”.

scheduler 2

Next, select the date and time you want the message to be sent. If you want this scheduled item to recur every day or week or month, you can configure the scheduled event to recur. You can also select to have the message resend to only new recipients on your list. This would be helpful if the scheduled event was a welcome email, for example – as you could schedule the welcome email to send starting tomorrow and recur every day only to new recipients who join your mailing list each day. Click “Next”

scheduler 3

Next, select the message you want to send and click “OK”.

scheduler 4

Now, to shedule this event to be sent only to a portion of your list, click “Set Exlusion Options” on the Prepare to Send Message screen.

scheduler 5

Add you partial list criteria (i.e. send to recipient 1-100) and click OK. You can also set manual exclusions here if you don’t want the scheduled event to be sent to a particular recipient or domain. After doing this, you will be brought back to the Prepare to Send Message screen. Click “Continue”.

scheduler 6

Now, you will see you scheduled event in your Scheduler screen. You can modify or delete your scheduled events here.

scheduler 7

You can also use GroupMail’s Scheduler Add-on to schedule Subscriber to process your unsubscribe requests and bounces automatically at regular intervals and to send SMS messages.
